In Norse mythology, Idun was the goddess of fertility and was responsible for guarding the apples that guaranteed the gods eternal youth. For many, she was also a symbol of love and rebirth, and in a famous poem she was referred to as the lover of the gods (ása leika). Unlike previous Northern Lights series knife models, the NL5 is slightly rounder and softer and therefore an excellent choice as a hunting knife.
